Oh, hi. I’m Jenna, a first-generation Texan who left her Dallas roots to study journalism at the University of Missouri. Time spent in further-flung locales has cultivated in me a desire for adventure, but my exploration of food has flourished in Houston, where I currently write, cook and advocate for real food. And, well, I’m starving for the next culinary adventure… get it??
I’ve dabbled in chef school and on the line of a Houston kitchen doing pretty great things. Whether in my home town or while traveling, I love engaging with small food communities, visiting markets, gathering inspiration from fresh produce, interesting ingredients, and soaking up the local food culture. My nose is often tucked in a (cook)book… or blog post… or food article, which more often then not sends me into kitchen lab mode.
